Leslie Abi-Karam
Prior to her current position, Leslie was Executive Vice President and President, Document Messaging Technologies (DMT). During her tenure the DMT hardware business reestablished its position as the worldwide product leader. She also expanded the unit’s reach into the $4 billion customer communication management market by developing a broad software portfolio. This included the successful acquisition and integration of Group 1 Software in 2004. In 2006, Emtex, a leader in print room management services, and Sure-Feed Engineering, with capabilities in the rapidly expanding promotional mail and fulfillment markets, were added. The largest acquisition in Pitney Bowes’ history, MapInfo Corporation, closed in April of 2007, and further expanded the software portfolio in the location intelligence space. Under Leslie’s leadership the DMT business unit more than tripled revenue and EBIT. Leslie first joined Pitney Bowes in 1984 as an Industrial Engineer. She has held a variety of management positions in the company, including Vice President of After-Market Operations for the copier division and Vice President of Customer Operations, responsible for all customer-facing functions in the copier division. She serves on the Senior Management Committee of Pitney Bowes, the executive team responsible for setting the direction of the corporation. She also sits on the boards of Pentair, Inc., a $3.3B global diversified operating company based in Minneapolis, MN, and the Direct Marketing Association (DMA). She holds an MBA degree from the University of Bridgeport and an Engineering degree from Northeastern University, where she is a member of the corporation. Other articles in Executive Bios <back |
