Last week, we were honored to be joined by Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, and other federal, state and local officials to celebrate the opening of the Pitney Bowes Global Technology Center in Danbury, Connecticut.
Words like “innovation,” “collaboration,” “education,” “agility,” “flexibility,” and “plans for the future” filled the room during remarks from Leslie Abi-Karam, Murray Martin, Governor Malloy and Mayor Boughton. It was inspiring to hear and really hit home on the importance of our technology roots, evolution as a global company, and our path towards the future.
After a ribbon-cutting to open the Center officially, guests joined us for a tour to see the newly renovated space.

One of the most impressive things about the Global Technology Center is a new historic walkway with milestones on the walls and artifacts that capture innovations during every decade since our founding. It is amazing to see all of the inventions, technology, solutions, services and events that have helped shape our history and are now ingrained in our DNA. You feel a sense of pride when you see it.
The timeline leads you down a hallway to a bright new, large demo room with giant windows that offer a sneak-peak inside. When you walk into the demo room, you see some of our latest physical, digital and hybrid solutions in action, as well as collaborative work space.
Throughout the building, Pitney Bowes colleagues in engineering, product management, R&D and information services are working in fresh, open spaces. You see people coming together to share information and ideas. It is exciting and inspirational.
