Steven J. Green is Vice President, Finance, and Chief Accounting Officer at Pitney Bowes Inc. In his role, he is responsible for the centralized oversight of the accounting, reporting and control functions, as well as the global tax and global real estate operations. He is also a member of the Chairman’s Council, which comprises the company’s top 50 global executives.
Previously, Steven served as Vice President, Finance and Administration, of the Global Mailing Systems Division (GMS) from 1996 to 2005. In this role, he was responsible for the strategic and operational activities for the Finance function. At various periods throughout his tenure at GMS, he was also responsible for the company’s Postage By Phone organization, Supply Line and Customer Operations. Prior to joining GMS, he served as the Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer from 1987 to 1996.
Before joining Pitney Bowes in 1987, Steven served in a number of roles of increasing responsibility with PricewaterhouseCoopers, including Senior Manager in the Auditing Services Group.
He holds an M.B.A. in accounting from Rutgers University and a B.A. in economics from Hamilton College. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the CSCPA and AICPA.
