Pitney Bowes Hosts Conference to Offer Nonprofits Tips on Direct Mail
STAMFORD, Conn., March 05, 2007 - Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI), the world’s leading mailstream solutions company, is hosting a conference for nonprofits on March 13 at the Sheraton, Crystal City, in Arlington, VA.
“The conference is about educating nonprofits to assist them as they try to grow their revenues, donor, and member bases in a challenging environment,” said Janet Granger-Happ, Nonprofit Marketing Manager, Pitney Bowes Global Mailstream Solutions. “It is an excellent opportunity for nonprofits to learn how the flow of communication to donors and prospects can be improved, as well as how to save money by doing so.”
The conference agenda includes a one hour mail clinic, during which attendees can bring their own samples for one-on-one consultations. Topics include help in developing a strategic plan for fundraising, membership and donor renewals, how to acquire new donors and members, how the proposed postal rate increase would affect nonprofits, and a “best practices” panel by leaders of small to mid-size organizations in the nonprofit community. Betsy Johnson, Executive Director of the Center for Nonprofit Advancement, is the plenary speaker.
Pitney Bowes is hosting the conference in conjunction with three nonprofit partners: the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers, Center for Nonprofit Advancement, and Virginia Network of Nonprofit Organizations. The conference is open to Pitney Bowes customers as well as non-customers for a $149 charge. Register in advance at www.regonline.com/118704
