Cattini Named President, Pitney Bowes Marketing Services

MapInfo CEO Takes Broader Responsibilities; Hickey to Lead MapInfo

STAMFORD, Conn., May 29, 2007 - Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI) announced today that Mark Cattini has been named president, Pitney Bowes Marketing Services, taking the helm of a rapidly-expanding group of businesses focused on helping companies accelerate top-line growth. He will report to Leslie Abi-Karam, executive vice president and president, Document Messaging Technologies.

In this position, Cattini will provide overall strategic direction for a business segment that Pitney Bowes has built through several acquisitions in the past two years and that generated $145 million in revenue in 2006. The acquisitions included Imagitas, Advertising Audit Services (AAS), PMH, and an interest in Digital Cement. Their capabilities include strategic consulting on customer loyalty; life-event marketing programs; digital asset management for large companies; self-service direct marketing tools for small businesses; and many other marketing services. Many marketing services offerings have a direct mail component that plays to Pitney Bowess traditional strength in mailstream technologies.

We have seen explosive growth in interest in our marketing services solutions, said Abi-Karam. Mark Cattini has broad experience in managing rapid growth and he will bring tremendous value to our customers in his new role.

Cattini most recently served as president and CEO of MapInfo, a leader in location intelligence software that Pitney Bowes acquired earlier this year. During his tenure leading MapInfo, Cattini led the companys charge into newly-defined vertical markets and revamped the companys business model to create a more predictable revenue stream. His software industry career began in 1987 with Lotus Development Corp.

Pitney Bowes has put together a powerful set of marketing capabilities that can help our customers grow more quickly, said Cattini. I am delighted to move into this new role with the opportunity to help our customers succeed.

Abi-Karam also announced that Michael Hickey, recently MapInfos chief operating officer, will become president of Pitney Bowes MapInfo. Hickey joined MapInfo in 1995 and had served as chief operating officer since 2002.

Mike is a proven leader and a great choice to lead MapInfo, said Abi-Karam. MapInfo was a key acquisition for Pitney Bowes and we are counting on the business to drive even faster growth for our company. Mike will ensure that MapInfo continues to create innovative solutions for the location intelligence market.

Part of the value of the MapInfo acquisition was the extremely strong leadership team and talent we acquired with the business, Abi-Karam continued. These appointments make clear that we are utilizing this talent to the fullest extent.
