LANHAM, Md., August 01, 2007 - Group 1 Software, Inc., a Pitney Bowes Company (NYSE: PBI), today introduced StreamSure™, a new production print validation solution that reduces the time and complexity required to test document applications.
StreamSure, along with previously released iProof, rounds out Group 1 Software’s Customer Communications Management (CCM) Quality Assurance (QA) Edition. The CCM QA Edition addresses every testing phase of the document lifecycle – from user acceptance testing during development, to pre-production quality assurance, and preflight testing once documents are in production.

StreamSure automates lightbox, text, and data testing for interactive side-by-side validation, as well as batch testing for full production runs. Unlike other testing products, StreamSure can compare output from two disparate print streams (metacode to AFP, for instance), as well as extract and validate data from dynamic print stream output (AFP, metacode, DJDE, and line data).
Sophisticated pattern recognition enables StreamSure to test documents that are visually very different – such as when a new bill or statement design is implemented. Users save these patterns as templates by dragging-and-dropping and easily build a rules file to accept or reject exceptions that match these templates. Pattern recognition, along with user-defined confidence thresholds, automates a variety of testing scenarios that alternative methods alone cannot address.
