LANHAM, Md., Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Group 1 Software, Inc., a Pitney Bowes Company (NYSE: PBI), today announced that Tim Waggoner, executive vice president and chief technology officer for Group 1 Software, has been named "IT Executive of the Year, Commercial Company" by the Tech Council of Maryland, as part of its inaugural CIO&CTO Live! Awards.
Mr. Waggoner was honored for his technology prowess and leadership, including the key role he played in developing software that enables Fortune 500 companies to better serve their customers through point-of-sales initiatives and direct mail programs. He was also recognized for leading the rollout of Group 1 Software's innovative Enterprise Server Architecture platform, which features both in-house and hosted capabilities for maximum customer flexibility, as well as the instrumental role he played in leading Group 1 Software through its successful integration with Pitney Bowes.

He also serves as chief technology analyst for Humanvision Technology Ventures LLC, a Washington, DC-area technology incubation program.
